Margaret Eileen Morrison (Forrest)
October 27, 1934- September 21, 2022
Sydney Mines
It is with heartfelt sadness that we, the grandchildren, announce the passing of our Nana, Eileen (Dubby) Morrison, on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Born in Sydney Mines on October 27, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Annie Forrest.
In her younger years, Nana enjoyed a good game of cards, a night out to BINGO and baking or cooking for anyone who would eat. She was definitely known for her pies and knuckles. There was nothing more important to Nana than family, and her heart was truly shattered with the loss of her boys. It gives us tremendous peace to know they are together again, and her torment is no more.
Nana is survived by her devoted grandchildren Shawn (Wendy), Nicole (Jason), Natasha, Jennifer and Matthew. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Grace, Lucas, Timothy, Jordan, Hannah, Jaycie, Haile, Shane, Logan, Maxx, and Layla and 3 great-great-grandchildren she spoke of often.
Nana is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Bernadette Marsh, Russel Forrest, Lloyd (Millie) Forrest, Linda Scott, Melvin (Rosina) Forrest, Donnie (Beryl) Forrest and many nieces and nephews.
Nana was predeceased by her husband James, her heart and soul, her sons Gerard and Shane and grandson Marcel. She was also predeceased by her brothers Edward and Alex (Sonny), sister Joan Campbell and long-time family friend Jake Brown.
Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at a later date. A special thank you to Dr. Kholsmith and staff, Northside Homemakers, VON and the Staff at Sextons Pharmacy and EHS. Donations in her memory may be made to Community Cares. Words of comfort may be forwarded to her family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
