Sydney Mines, It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Marie McGuigan, announce her passing at the Miners Memorial Manor on Sunday, May 28th, 2023.

 Born in Sydney Mines, Marie was the daughter of the late Allen and Elise (Ludlow) MacIntosh. 

Marie loved spending time in Margaree, vacationing with Albert and Theresa Eveleigh, and going for drives around Cape Breton. Mom loved family and friends with a big heart. 

She is survived by her children Rose (Elwood), Paddy (Tracey), and Kenneth (Raylene), all of Sydney Mines. Her nine Grandchildren, Patricia Joan (PJ), Townley, Patrick, Linden, Scott, Jenene, Jessica, David, and Jordan, and 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Sister, Theresa Eveleigh of Big Bras d’Or.

Besides her parents, Marie was predeceased by her husband Patrick McGuigan, her son Charley (Linda), her sister, Shirley Richardson, and her brother, Ally MacIntosh, all of Sydney Mines.

There will be a funeral service to celebrate Marie’s life held on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 11 am in the JM Jobes Funeral Home Ltd, Sydney Mines, with Deacon, Dave Lewis officiating. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
