Mary Ester Tremblett
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ester Tremblett on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the Northside Community Guest Home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Florence on January 1, 1932, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Butts. Ester was the last surviving member of her immediate family, with ten siblings predeceasing her.
Ester was a member of Carmen United Church, and a faithful member of TOPS for many years. On Sundays, you could always find her in the kitchen cooking Sunday dinner for her family or going for one of her much-loved Sunday drives. Ester was happiest when surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ester is survived by her loving children, Ernie, Billy (Judy), Freddie (Sherrie), Kevin, and Brenda (John), daughter-in-law Michelle, and son-in-law Blair, 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and siblings, Ester was predeceased by her loving husband, William, daughters Barbara and Doris, Son, Terry, and grandson, Jason.
Visitation for Ester will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 2-3 pm, with a Funeral service to follow at 3 pm in JM Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines, with Rev Nick Phillips officiating. Burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery, Sydney Mines.
