                Michael Douglas Macdonald, 40, of 478 Seaview Drive, North Sydney, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023. Born on February 16, 1983, in St. Rita’s Hospital, Sydney. He was the son of Debbie (McGean) MacDonald and stepson of Gregory MacDonald.

                He is survived and will be deeply missed by his mother and stepfather, Mr. Gregory (Debbie) MacDonald, North Sydney; his beloved grandmother, Cynthia (Eveleigh) McGean; aunt Denise McGean and husband, John MacGillivary, Sydney Mines; his uncle Douglas jr. (Kim) McGean, Fort McMurray, Alberta; and his great aunts: Mrs. Jean (Robert) McGean and family; Mrs. Lillian (Edward) McGean and family; and his uncles: Mr. Dwight (Joan) Eveleigh and family; Mr. Kenneth (Donna) Eveleigh and family; Mr. Herbert (Jackie) Eveleigh and family; Mr. William and David Eveleigh and cousins Justin (Caitlyn) McGean and children, Thomas and Theodore; Kristy (Phillip) Kelly and children: Taylor, Logan and Hunter.

                Michael was predeceased by his grandfather, Mr. Douglas McGean, Syndey Mines; his great grandparents, Mr. Herbert and Eleanor (Marsh) Eveleigh, Sydney Mines; Mr. John and Viola (Jessome) McGean, Sydney Mines; and cousin, Finlay McGean, Fort McMurray, Alberta; Mrs. Diane (Stanley) McInnis, North Sydney.

                Visitation will be held Friday, January 5, 2024, from 1-3 at J.M Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. A funeral service will follow at 3 pm, with Rev. Conrad Edwards officiating.
