It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Father, Poppy, Brother and friend, Michael Thomas Pearo, at the age of 72. Dad passed peacefully on February 7, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
Born October 6, 1952, Mike was raised in Alder Point by his late father Gus Pearo and his mother Sue (Bungay). He was predeceased by his former wife, Mary Pearo, whom they had rekindled a special friendship in their final years. Mike was also predeceased by his sisters Ena MacFarlane and Dorothy Arsenault, brother Danny Magee and brother in-laws, Bobby MacFarlane and Billy Arsenault.
He is survived by his children MJ (Shauna) Pearo, Alissa (Steve) Schaller and Heather (Jeff) Cloutier, and grandchildren Sophia, Aiden, Sydney, Olivia, Connor, Dylan, and Robyn. All of which he loved and adored.
Mike came from a large and loving family and is remembered by his sister Barbara (Roger) Chinn, Brothers Brian (Marita) Pearo, William (Cindy) Pearo, Hubert (June) MacRae and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Mike worked as a Coal Miner for most of his career and was the man with 9 lives. He enjoyed his bingo and crib games, which he won most of the time. He enjoyed dancing in his younger years. Mike was an avid fisherman and enjoyed going for boat rides.
We would like to say thank you to the ICU and Palliative care for their care and compassion over the last few days. We appreciate all you have done.
