Minnie Joyce Roberts passed away peacefully on Monday, April 24, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

 Minnie was born in North Sydney and was the youngest child of Archie and Hilda Anderson.

Minnie married Raymond (Buddy), her lifetime partner and best friend, beginning a 70-year journey resulting in two children, four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Mom and Dad loved to travel and equally enjoyed their summers at their cabin in New Harris,

Minnie was an active member and volunteer of the Eastern Star, Carman United Church, and the Miners Manor Auxiliary. She held financial positions in the latter two.

Minnie was predeceased by her Buddy in 2017 but is survived by her children, Eric (Sue) and Valerie (Barry). Her legacy carries on through her grandchildren Lori (Jamie), Lisa (Chad), Taryn, and Jonas (Rebecca). She proudly boasted that they all earned University Degrees. Her grandchildren presented her with the bounty of nine great grandchildren-Emily, Meghan, Ruby, Jake, Felix, Lucy, Maren, Hunter, and Hayley, she was so proud of them all.

Minnie was predeceased by her parents, brother Ken (Phyllis), sisters Vera (Clarence) and Marie (Joe)

Minnie wished to be cremated and her ashes scattered with her love Buddy in their special place. They will be together again.

There will be a funeral service to celebrate Minnie’s life at Carman United Church on Friday, April 28th, at 1 PM. A short reception will follow in the church hall. There will be no visitation or graveside ceremony.
