Mora Jeanette MacDonald
We regret to announce the passing of Mora Jeanette (Stephenson) MacDonald on January 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Black Rock, Boularderie NS, she was the daughter of the late Disraeli and Rodney (Dickson) Stephenson.
Mora was a member of St. Andrew’s Church, Sydney Mines. She was a dedicated employee of the Princess Credit Union, Sydney Mines for 40 years, only retiring due to ill health.
She is survived by her loving husband William MacDonald. Sons, William (Tracey) MacDonald, Edmonton, Shawn (Jeannie) MacDonald, Sydney Mines. Daughter Jennifer (Clayton) Keeping, North Sydney. Grandchildren, Breanna, Callum, Ella, Mary, Chalie Beth, William, and Connor. One Great grandson, Elijah.
Mora is also survived by her brother, Donald (Heather) Stepheson, Sydney Mines, Brother-in-law Brian MacDonald, Toronto. Nieces Kim and Tanya, along with their mother Marie.
Besides her parents Mora was predeceased by a brother Hugh in infancy. Along with her mother and father-in-law, Bill and Miriam (Hayward) MacDonald.
In keeping with Mora’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation on Wednesday January 21st, 2026, from 12-2 pm, with a Celebration of life to follow at 2pm, in JM Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines, with Rev. Ken McLeod officiating.
