            We, the family of Robert (Bobby) Vickers, regret to announce his passing on Friday, May 12th, 2023, at the Harbour Stone Guest Home.

            Born in Sydney Mines on August 14th, 1937, Bobby was the son of the late Joseph and Anne (Macintyre) Vickers. Bobby spent most of his life working with his brother Alex in Sanitation in Sydney Mines.

            Bobby loved all animals, but his passion was race horses, and he spent most of his free time at Northside Downs taking care of the horses. Bobby is survived by his brother Blaise (Bernice) Vickers, Nieces Joanne Bruno, Shauna (Jim) Guy, Lana LeBlanc, and great-nieces Jenah and Victoria Guy.

            Besides his parents, Bobby was predeceased by his brothers Joey, Alex, and Sister Anne Marie Vickers.

            Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held on May 22nd, 2023, at 2:00 pm in  J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines.
