Ronald Bonnar Obituary

Ronald John Bonnar

Little Pond

We regret to announce the passing of Ronald John Bonnar, 78, on Monday, July 12, 2021. Ronald passed peacefully with his loving wife Joyce at his side, with angels guiding him to his parents and waiting siblings. Ronald’s passing was filled with the love of his family, who never left his side.

Ronald was an incredibly strong man who worked hard all his life to provide for his family. His first big adventure was on the Lake Boats, where he had a minor injury. This allowed him to follow his passion in furniture restoration, which he passed on to his daughter Sharon.

Ronald was well known in the community. He was an outstanding member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 83, Florence. He always helped the churches and Legion, volunteering his time at the Legion breakfast fundraisers. Ronald mentored many local children, teaching them baseball and how to fix their bikes. He was well loved by all who knew him.

He leaves behind to mourn his loving wife Joyce, sons Duane, Norman and Gary, and his only daughter Sharon. Also left to mourn are his grandchildren Luke, Natasha, Taylor and Jordan, great-granddaughter Lillyanne, sisters Cathy, Debbie, Florence and Helen, and brothers Danny, Francis and Kenneth.

Special thanks to Ann Bernon for all her love and support.

There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date. A celebration of his life will take place at the Florence Legion, also at a later date. Donations in Ronald’s memory may be made to the Legion, or Christmas Hampers or helping the needy.

Words of comfort may be forwarded to his family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
