                It is with great sadness we, the family of Ronald “Ronnie” McGean, announce his sudden passing at home on September 22nd, 2023.  

                Ronnie was born August 19th, 1959, in Sydney Mines and was the son of the late Ronald and Mary (Mitchelitis) McGean. He loved to hunt and fish. He loved spending time with his granddaughters. He was a cook at the Canadian Coast Guard College until he was unable to work any longer.

                He is survived by his only son, Ronald. Granddaughters KieraLynn, Amari Sky, Jaycllie Richard, and Serenity Leanne. Sister Debbie Boulter and brothers Kevin (Colleen) and Darrin. Nieces and nephews Jeffery (Tammy), Megan, Justin, Frankie, Adam, Stephen (Michelle), Robin, Mark, Michael, and Ayslynn. Besides his parents, Ronnie was predeceased by his brother Blair and Brother-in-Law Kevin Boulter.

                Cremation has taken place. A Visitation will be held at J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main Street, Sydney Mines, on Friday, September 29th, from 1-3 P.M., with a service to follow at 3 P.M.
