Ronald “Butch” Earl Pye

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Earl “Butch” Pye on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney River, at the age of 88.

Born and raised in Florence, Butch will be remembered as a proud coal miner, devoted family man, respected coach, and loyal friend whose humour and storytelling touched many throughout the Northside community.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service celebrating Butch’s life on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Anglican Church, 15 Queen Street, Sydney Mines, with Jackie Warren officiating.
