Sheldon Devoe Obituary

We regret to announce the passing of Sheldon Devoe, 66, of Sydney Mines, on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, after a brief illness.

Born in Sydney Mines on October 10, 1954, Sheldon was the son of the late Peter and Rodena (MacKinnon) Devoe.

Sheldon worked for many years for the Seafarers International Union, and in later years at various jobs in Alberta. He was a die-hard Montreal Canadiens fan, and also the Toronto Blue Jays.

Sheldon is survived by brothers Leon, Jeremiah and Michael. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law Art MacMullin, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Henrietta MacMullin.
