Shelly Roy Comeau, age 74, of Ingonish Beach, passed away suddenly on August 21st, 2023.
Born in Digby on January 19th, 1949. He was the son of Denis and Ruby (Amero) Comeau. Besides his parents, Shelly was predeceased by brothers Wayne and Todd and sister Nathalie Blagdon.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Willma (Young) Comeau; his daughter, Trish Caillie; brother Lloyd (Bertha) Comeau; sisters, Denise (Paul) Best and Mary Comeau. Sisters-in-law Christina Young, Linda MacDonald, and Peggy (Wayne) Dedrick; Brother-in-law Joseph (Patricia) Young and good friends Kennedy Ashford.
Shelly was born into an auto body repair family, working with his father at the Uncle’s shop in Halifax, then Central Auto Body and Forbes Car Dealership in Dartmouth. Always open to new adventures, his most bragged-about one was being a deckhand aboard the ice breaker, C.C.G.S. John A. MacDonald, on a trip through the North West Passage to Point Barrow.

Cremation has taken place, A graveside service will be held on September 7th at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Ingonish Beach, NS, with Tea to follow at 40 Young’s Road (Aunt Pegs)
