It is with a heavy heart that the family announces the passing of Sherrie on Monday, February 10th, 2025, at Hospice Cape Breton, surrounded by her family and friends, after a long, courageous battle with Cancer.
Born in Sydney Mines on May 4th, 1979, she was the daughter of George and Donna Bond and sister to Ryan.
In her younger years, Sherrie worked in the canteen at the baseball field, surrounded by kids. Later, you could find Sherrie at Burton’s Convenience Store in Sydney Mines. Sherrie found her passion as a dedicated employee at Stream, where she made many friends.
Left behind to mourn are her Parents, George and Donna Bond; Husband of many years, Chris Stockley; stepson, Donavon Morgan Kaiser; sister-in-law, Roselyn; her pride and joys, nephews, Lucas and Issac, god-son James Albert Devoe, grandmother Christina Crews, Aunts and Uncles Sherry (Jackie), Linda (Lawrence), Bobbi (Judy), Joe-Ann, Erine (Joanie), Sally (Mike), Becky (Russell), Jackie (Cindy), Chuck (Wanda), Kathy (Dale), Wendy (Sheldon), and John. Also, her extended family including her mother and father-in-law, Wendell and Nadine Stockley, and brothers-in-law, Norman, Gordon, Stephen (Paula), and Bruce. Sister-in-law Wendy.
Sherrie is predeceased by her grandmother, Sara Bond, grandfathers Erine Bond and Gerald Crews, Uncle Terry Bond, Wilfred Billard, Aunt Linda Podetz, Special Aunt and Uncle Betty, and James Stewart.
In accordance with Sherrie's wishes, Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 14th, 2025, from 12-2 at Holy Family Catholic Parish Hall; a church service will follow at 2 pm, officiated by Father Fabin Ihunegbo, with services conducted by JM Jobes Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to Hospice Cape Breton in Sherrie’s memory.
