Susan Loretta Young
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Susan Loretta Young. A loving mother, daughter, partner, sister, aunt & friend.
Susan grew up under the care of her loving parents and alongside her siblings in what she often described as an idyllic childhood, rich with memories of her immediate and extended family, along with friends and the incredible times they shared together.
Susan had pursued several careers during her life, all centered on the thoughtful and dutiful care of others. She loved to volunteer within her own and neighboring communities, offering contributions to health care, aesthetics, cleaning, and general support, primarily to elderly community members. Her family thoroughly enjoyed the stories she brought home after meeting new friends in those endeavors.
She loved all of God's creatures, people, and especially animals. Most notably, her constant and most noble companion, Cash, the dog who's been by her side many years and who adores her almost as entirely as she loved him.
Susan is survived by her Mother, Sylvia Young ( the late Bill Young), her children, whom she loved dearly, Alex(Jennifer), Amanda, and Sylvia, her siblings, Jamie, Molly, and Sandy, and her childhood love, Malcolm. She has been predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents, many aunts and uncles, and her aunts who were very special to her, Charlotte and Angeline. Her best friend, her father, Bill, who spoiled her and looked out for her relentlessly, also predeceased her.
Susan led her life with passion above all else, standing up for anyone and anything she believed in unwaveringly. She was a mother, a Protector, a Motivator, and an Advocate to anyone who needed support or guidance. She was empathetic to a fault with the heart of a warrior.
Susan lived her life without many regrets, but she did want a couple of items of advice in notice of her leave; Speak your mind, no matter how much trouble you'll get in for it. You can win a fight with anyone. Don't start it, but you'd better finish it.
In keeping with Susan’s wishes, cremation has taken place; there will be no service.
