Tara Lee Johnston
It is with deep sadness that the family of Tara Lee Johnston announce her sudden passing from heart complications on July 19th, 2022.
Tara, with her gypsy soul and infectious, bubbly personality, was adored by all those lucky enough to know her. Giving and kind, she was happiest when helping others. She was a fierce mama bear who loved her two boys, Ben and Colby, more than life. They were her heart and soul, her reason for fighting every obstacle life threw at her. As a single mom, she often had to navigate rough waters with the boys, but her greatest wish to have them together again was fulfilled at her bedside. Holding her hand and whispering words of love, they said goodbye to their mother who brought them into the world.
Another great love of her life, was her cherished granddaughter, Jessa, who brought joy and sunlight into Tara's new chapter of sobriety.
Tara was so proud of her recovery and shone a light on addiction for anyone still caught in the struggle.
Tara is survived by her adoring mother, Ann Marie Johnston-Gillis (Roddie), her sister, Tiffany (Cory), nieces Reese and Rogan, and sons, Colby and Ben. She also leaves behind uncles Paul (Bettylynn), David (Jennifer), Troy, her aunt Joyce (Michael) and many loving cousins. Her grandmother, Rose, and granddaughter, Jessa.
Tara is predeceased by her beloved grandfather, Eldon Johnston, her father, Terry Clarke, and grandmother, June Clarke.
The family would like to thank EHS, the nurses and doctors in the emergency department and ICU for their kindness and compassion.
You're invited to join the family as we celebrate Tara on Sunday, July 24th, from 2 -3pm in JM Jobes Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
