Veronica Eileen (Jobe) Dolomont

                It is with profound sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of our mother on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

                Mom was born September 22, 1946, in Sydney Mines and was the daughter of the late John Jobe (Sugarloaf) and Jessie (Walsh-Jobe) Anderson of Sydney Mines. Mom was a devoted Catholic and active parishioner at the Holy Family Parish, Sydney Mines. Mom met the love of her life at a dance held at the North Sydney Form, where it was love at first site on both parts. Mom loved to go to the dances to watch Dad play, and she would dance the night away.

                Mom was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved and cherished her family unconditionally. Mom was also very active with the grandchildren, supporting them all the way.

                Mom worked at Harbourside Hospital as well as the Northside Guest Home, and for many years, she was the caregiver to many families whom she grew to love as her own family. She was an active member of the Sydney Mines Pensioners Club as well as the Kiwanis Club in Sydney Mines. Mom also volunteered with the PC Party, and she was very proud of that.

                Mom and Dad's greatest joy was spending time at their cottage in Kempt Head and later in Barrachois, where family and friends always gathered. Mom had an amazing group of loving friends who she spent many nights with, going to dances and Tim Hortons or Robins for tea.

                Mom is survived by her three daughters, Martina (Rick Jackson), Arthina (Joey Campbell), Lisa (David Bonnar), and Noelle Christie, whom she loved like a daughter, as well as Janine Yurczyszyn and grandchildren Jessica (Mark), Logan (John), Courtney (Avery), Aaron (Madelyn), and Martina. Great-grandson Kamryn.

                Mom is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Jim Dolomont (Carolyn), Mike Dolomont (Valeria), and Tom Dolomont (Carol). Sisters-in-law, Kitty Colpitts, Jean Hatcher, Margorie Langford, Judy (George Day), Monika Dolomont, as well as many nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins whom she loved dearly.

                Besides her parents, Mom was predeceased by her husband, Donald Dolomont, Inlaws Tom and Kathleen Dolomont, who loved Mom like a daughter. Sisters Marcella Cadwell, Kay Young, and Marie Harrietha. Brothers John Jobe, Marty Anderson, and Donnie Jobe (infancy). Nephew Lavotino Harrietha and Jeff Harrietha. Mom was also predeceased by her brother-in-law John Langford, Clayton Hatcher, Ron Colpitts, and Robert Dolomont: nephews Erik Dolomont, Uncle Gordon, and Aunt Mora.

                Our Family would like to thank Dr. Andrew Wawer and his staff at the Northside General Hospital as well as the 4B and ICU at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, for the wonderful care that was given to our mom.

                Visitation for mom will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 2-4 at JM Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM on November 22, 2023, at Holy Family Parish, Sydney Mines, with a burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Johnston Road. A luncheon will follow at the Pensioners Hall, Fraser Ave, Sydney Mines.

                Mom, we know you are listening to Dad play, and you are dancing like you've never danced before. We love and miss you so much. Keep Dancing Mom.
