Viola Marie Fitzgerald and Angus Maurice Fitzgerald
Our beautiful Mother, Viola (Lolly) Fitzgerald,81 suddenly passed on Sunday, May 19th at home. It was just 14 months after losing the love of her life her husband ,our Dad, Angus Fitzgerald, 84 ,on March 14/2023.
They are survived by their son Tony and his wife,Louise and their daughter Stephanie and her husband,Michael , their precious grand daughter Molly and their wonderful grandson, Matthew, his wife Melissa and three beautiful great grandchildren, Avery, Ian and Rowan.
Dad was predeceased by his only sister Annette and his parents, John Benjamin and his mother Emma. Mom by her sisters Jean, Mary and a brother Claude, her parents Josephine and John Michael Capstick and John Burton. She is also survived by six brothers and six sisters.
There will be no visitation or service as to their wishes. As a family we would like to thank the Victoria County Home Support Team of girls, who Mom adored, the EHS responders, especially Lyle and the RCMP for their compassion.
Mom and Dad are finally together again singing love songs to each other. When Dad was ill he picked up the guitar and made recordings of him singing to Mom, so she could listen to him everyday. He wanted her to know he was there with her. They were the picture of love. May they be smiling again. Here are a few words to a song that Dad always sang to Mom by Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter.
" Storms never, last do they ,babe ?
Bad times all pass with the winds
Your hand in mine stills the thunder
and you make the sun want to shine "
