                It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Walter Ignacious MacDonald on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born December 4th, 1957, to the late John and Clara (McDonald) MacDonald.

                Walter is survived by his sisters, Alice (Rick) and Sharon (Dan). He was predeceased by his brothers Joey, Jackie, and Addie.

                Walter had a 2-year battle with brain tumors, which he fought till the end. We want to thank Brenda Marsh for always being there for him, from the many trips to Halifax to going in every day and giving him his medications. We can never thank you enough. Also, to Julia and Dr. Burns, Thank you. To the seniors in his building, thank you for always looking out for him.

                Cremation has taken place; as per Walter’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.
