"Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You're loved beyond words and missed beyond measure."
It is with beautiful memories and broken hearts that we, the family of Wilda Hyde, announce her peaceful passing at the Northside General Hospital on May 28, 2026.
Wilda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved reading, scrapbooking, road-tripping, and going to Duke's to listen to music with her friends. Mom cherished her family above all else.
Wilda was the daughter of the late Bill and Jean Cantwell. She has now been reunited with them and with her loving husband of 51 years, Donnie. We're sure the party will last for days.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Mark) Quinn; her grandsons, Logan and Lucas, whom she loved with all her heart; her sisters, Judy (Dennis) Harrietha and AlJean Taylor; her brother, Bill (Maureen) Cantwell; her sisters-in-law, Judy (Henry) DiPersio, Judy Hyde, and Cindy MacIntosh; her brothers-in-law, Billy (Rose) Hyde, Bob Ryan, and Denis Astephen; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Besides her parents, Wilda was predeceased by her husband, Donnie Hyde; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Jessie Hyde; her sisters-in-law, Darlene Cantwell, Lori Ryan, Kathy Astephen, Patricia Leyte, and Claire Hyde; and her brothers-in-law, David Taylor, Doug Hyde, George Hyde, and Danny Leyte.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Andrew Wawer, the nurses, and all of the staff on 4 West and 5th Floor for the wonderful care they provided. A special thank you is extended to Madison MacDonald, Nicole MacLeod, Mable Mathew, and Katie O'Toole for their kindness and compassion.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place.
Arrangements have been entrusted to J.M. Jobes Funeral Home.
