William Augustus Pero

It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, regret to announce the sudden passing of our dear Father and Grandfather, William Augustus Pero, On Thursday, May 18, 2023, at the Northside Community Guest Home.

Born in Point Aconi on November 4, 1937, he was the son of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (Moore) Pero.

Bill worked for many years at National Sea Fish Plant. In his spare time, he liked to work on Cars.

Bill is survived by his children Kent (Patricia), Blaise, and Helen (Steve), all of Sydney Mines. Grandchildren, Alexander and Mary Emma Pero. Sisters Anne Boutilier, Antigonish, and Colleen Bona, North Sydney. Along with a long-time special friend Alice Robinson.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Audrey (Ginter) Pero, and sisters, Marie and Diane.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Northside Community Guest Home, Theresa Terrace Staff for the wonderful care Bill received.

Visitation for the late Bill Pero will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023, from 4-6 pm, with service to follow at 6 pm in the JM Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. Burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery, Sydney Mines. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
