Margaret is survived by her husband Francis (Panky) Gracie, children Allison (Shawn) Clost, Robert (Carrie) Gracie and grandsons Lucas and Owen Gracie.  Also left to mourn are sisters Wena(Billy) Stubbert, Elva (Tony) Robinson, Alice (Ray) MacNeil, Brenda Stubbert, brother Byron(Donna) Stubbert, childhood best friend Esther (Beaton) Giles as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Regina Stubbert and brother Wilbert Stubbert.
Margaret was an employee of the Cape Breton Development Corporation for over 25 years working at the Princess Colliery, Sydney Mines and Prince Mine, Point Aconi until her retirement.   She was also a long time member of Clyde Avenue Baptist Church, Sydney Mines.  Margaret’s greatest joy was being a grandmother to Lucas and Owen.
The family would like to thank Dr. K. Khodadad, patient navigator Rhonda McNeil as well as the staff at the Cape Breton Regional Cancer Center for their care and compassion.  We would also like to send a heartfelt thanks to the nurses on 4West Northside General Hospital, VON and Palliative Care for facilitating Margaret’s wish of being in the comfort of her home in her final days.
