Mark Daniel Lomond
North Sydney

It is with great sorrow that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of our beloved young man, Mark Daniel Lomond (Little Man), at the age of 24. Mark passed suddenly but peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2020.
Mark is survived by his Mom and Dad, Tracy and Ben Lomond, his brother Aaron David, Nanny and Poppy, Yvonne and Clarence (Red) Dove, his God parents, Kenny and Norma Robertson, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his Nanny and Poppy, Rita Lomond and Daniel Lannigan.
Mark inspired us with his joyful smiles. Even though he was born with Cerebral Palsy and lived with health challenges, you would never know it. He was well loved by all who knew him. Mark was born in North York, Ontario, on February 16, 1996, and soon returned back to Cape Breton, where he lived all his life.
Mark loved getting out into the community to Bingo, movie theaters, and road trips. Though he was non-verbal, he could murmur words and gestures that loved ones would readily interpret. He had a great sense of humour, and ability to show love to all around him. Mark will be remembered forever and greatly missed by all who knew him. God bless you Mark. We will see you again, Little Man.
There will be a small private family graveside service at St. Joseph Cemetery on Monday, July 27, 2020, at 10 am. Words of comfort may be forwarded to his family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com

Tracy, Ben & Aaron. Wishing each of you thoughts for comfort and support In your grief at this time. Your son Mark’s presence in our daily work truly brightened Dr TL School the moment he would arrive and long after the day was done. What a team he made with his TAs and teachers, he was such a gentleman and I felt he cared as much for all the team (Angie, Tanya and others) as much as We all cared for him. A remarkable little man, never to be forgotten.
